Two Wrexham AAC Athletes were in action at the UK Championships in Manchester last weekend.
On Saturday, Amber Simpson threw 64.74m in the Women’s Hammer. The first round throw saw her sit in 3rd place, until the final round where unfortunately Simpson dropped to 5th position in what was a very close competition.
On Sunday, Thomas Walley was in the Mens Pole-vault. Walley cleared his opening height of 4.70m but was not able to progress any higher, this finished him 7th in the competition.
