On Saturday 19th of August Wrexham hosted the final match of the 2023 Northern League. An action-packed day full of PB’s & Club records made the title race even more exciting!
Wrexham finished 2nd in the match, above Liverpool Harriers who were the league leaders heading into the final match. Southport and Waterloo took the victory on the day, snatching the Division 1 title out of Liverpool Harriers hands by match points.
These results mean that Wrexham have finished 4th in the League and will remain in Division 1 next season. This is a fantastic achievement. Following our promotion from Division 2 last year.
Some highlights of the day include & PB in the Discus for Nicholas Young of 42.86m, A PB & Club Record of 5.22m for Thomas Walley in the pole-vault, Wins for the Mens 4x100 & 4x400.
